History
The first veterinary school started in Lyon, France, in 1761 and was founded by a man named Claude Bourgelat. Years later, Iowa State University (ISU), the first veterinary school in America, started offering veterinarian classes. In 1879, ISU was officially founded. Since then, twenty-seven vet schools have surfaced.
